Pharmaceutical blending of powders: SPECTRAL
EVOLUTION Custom Spectrophotometers have been
used for many pharma applications. The system shown
(right panel) is an example of an on-line Industrial
Process Analyzer with integrated Tungsten Source and
NIR Spectrometer for diffuse reflectance. This system
has been used to provide real-time analysis for tablet
production to ensure uniform consistency of active
ingredients and excipients within a batch. In addition,
the system can also monitor the process for excess
moisture.
